Golf
Prince
Edward Island has the finest golf courses in Eastern Canada. The
Links at Crowbush Cove is the centrepiece of golf courses in Eastern
Canada. In 1999, Crowbush hosted the Skins game to rave reviews.
Brudenell has been a Canadian Tour stop numerous times. Green Gables
is a Stanley Thompson designed course, which is as challenging as
it is beautiful. With 25 golf courses, Prince Edward Island is a
golfer’s paradise. Give us a call at (902) 894-8004 or 1-877-994-8004
and we can give you a hand getting a tee-off time.
Hiking
If you are up for some exercise there are some great trails on
P.E.I. Two of our favourite trails are the Confederation Trail
and the Bonshaw Trail. The Confederation Trail begins only four
blocks away. This trail, which is part of Canada’s coast
to coast trail system, takes you out into agricultural lands in
a five minute walk. If you are a keen hiker you can walk from
one tip of the Island to the other, but plan on at least a week!
The Bonshaw Trail is more challenging, as it runs through some
of P.E.I.’s hilliest terrain. Interpretive trails inside
Prince Edward Island National Park are ideal for strolling.
Beaches
It goes without saying that Prince Edward Island has beautiful
beaches. To find one, you can go pretty near anywhere along our
hundreds of kilometres of coastline. The beaches along north shore
are the nicest, while the south shore beaches tend to be a bit
warmer. Everyone on the Island has their favourite beach, so it’s
a matter of opinion where you go. One thing is for sure, our beaches
are never crowded.
Antiquing
There is no better place than P.E.I.
for antique shopping. This is one of our favourite past times
at Hillhurst. When you arrive we can point you to the best shops
or maybe you can even take in an old fashioned country auction.
